Would it be possible to code in such a way as to have a user enter their address in a textbox and click on one of your pinpoints from the map which would then present them with detailed street directions to that point? I would also like it to show the highlighted directions from point to point on the map.

Your new addon is getting closer to what I'm needing. I'd like to be able to have users click a marker as a starting point and another marker as a finishing point. That would present them with written directions along with the green road highlighting drawn from those 2 points.

If not that, is there a way to make the "Marker Popup" html include the Google Code that has the "Directions To Here" within the popup? Users could pick a Marker and get directions from their current location to that point. They could either type in their current address into the starting point or have their phone choose the their current location as the starting point. I once had the code for that in the "make you own map" section of the Google website.
