Strainge characters appear?

by George Petrov (March 1, 2004)

Question:

My page seemed to have a lot of  code and using the HTML editor I removed these and updated the page.

However when I went back into the editor, it still displayed these characters. Is there any particular reason for this or anyone know where I can remove code that is inserting these characters??

Answer:
Make sure to use iso-8859-1 as the character set on your page by entering the following line of code:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset="iso"-8859-1">
